implementation
Phase 1: Meeting with the villages
1. We will send a small group (about 2-3 people) to meet local leaders and establish a connection with them.
2. These people will meet with the leaders and lay out our plan before we propose it to the entire community. They will also try and seek out where the PROSPER team will be able to stay for the duration of the project.
Phase 2: Initial meeting
1. We would like to have an initial meeting with the community of the villages selected
3. At the meeting we will ask community members to be prepared to give their input at the conclusion of the meeting. We would like to know from their perspective
4. At the conclusion of the meeting we will have people raise their hands and input where they believe the plot should go and what crops should be planted. We will record that data and use majority rule to determine where they will go and what should be planted.
5. We will then ask for a volunteer from each family to sign up to help with the remediation of the soil and the planting of crop

**At this point we will arrange for the arrival of the fertilizer. It shouldn’t be a problem to purchase the fertilizer in Port Harcourt but if there is a problem we will contact outside sources and arrange for the fertilizer to be delivered. It should also be noted that we will only have the first batch of fertilizer delivered and the second lot delivered/picked up at the three-week mark as to avoid any damage (ie. The fertilizer getting wet etc.) that may occur.
Phase 3: The Workshops
We hope to work alongside the community to provide the skills necessary in order for them to increase the fertility of their community's soil and to improve the quality of water. Click here to view our soil treatment workshop and here to view our water treatment workshop.

Phase 2: Initial meeting
1. We would like to have an initial meeting with the community of the villages selected
- It is probable that the community members will not be able to speak English so we will ask our translator to be of assistance here.
3. At the meeting we will ask community members to be prepared to give their input at the conclusion of the meeting. We would like to know from their perspective
- Where they believe the community plot should go
- What crop/crops they would like to grow
- Who would like to help in establishing a work schedule
- After a list of people is compiled we will ask for a community member to help draft up a work schedule that is easy to follow so there is no confusion on who is to do what task
